In my book, The city of Dreaming Books, there is a place called the grave yard of forgotten writers. It is a sad place, where writers that are of no success and no home live. It is literally homeless writers living in graves, being tossed a few measly pyras (Zamonian currency) to write a poem or two from tourists.
This makes me think. Why would a person not be a successful author in a city so devoted to literature? Surely it's enforced in schools to a great extent. So how does this happen? There seems to be only a few different fields of work including, being an author, teacher, book store owner, librarian, etc. Seems like you'd surely fail in life if you weren't educated in the art of literature in city that's based on books.
Who are those people? The ones that failed? Why did they fail? I think its because there's so much competition. In a city of literature, people will only read the books with the most general appeal. Who would want to waste their time on some unheard of book when they could be reading the hot new stuff? The new hot stuff clouds their minds, to them it's the best when really the best could be a book rejected for some dumb reason.
I'm going to goes the author is trying to say something like "the best authors aren't always the haughty appealing ones". That or "write well or you'll find yourself in a hole". More of the first on though.
What about the few citizens that don't like reading or literature? How many rights do they have? Whose going to appreciate a person who has nothing to do with their society? What if they're true passion was something else. Like Optimus's friend the talking boar, hasn't got the ability to judge books, so he doesn't read many. He really likes to lay bricks though. What did people think of him when they found out he didn't care much for reading. Maybe they'd be accepted as artists, but what if they weren't artists. What if they new nothing about literature? Would they still be accepted?
Maybe the people in the graveyard of forgotten writers are there cause the didn't want to be writers in the first place? People don't seem to have time for bad literature. Sounds a bit like america.
I makes me think why homeless people are homeless. Were they not accepted either? Do they need a hug? I think that they're usually just homeless cause they don't have money or something, but what does not being accepted mean? It means not being a part of something. For the grave dwellers it means no being a part of literary society or even regular society. For people it mean having to find new friends. Or people who do accept someone who was not accepted for whatever reason.

Why can't we write?
I think any child aquatinted with literature has tried to write a word or two.
And any child who has tried to write a word or two has had a blank mind. Nothing to write about, or at least thats what they think.
The human mind is never really blank is it? Your always thinking about something, no matter what it is. So are we actually not able to think of anything, or are we choosing not to write? But why would we choose not to write?
Maybe something is keeping us from writing, something on our minds. In that case, not writing because "your mind is blank", is just a lie to keep you from writing about what your thinking.

Do the HUMAN thing.
In my book "The City of Dreaming Books" The main character Optimus Yarnspinner is presented with a mysterious manuscript by his dying Authorial Godfather. A Manuscript that enchants the reader in very emotional ways. This manuscript is supposedly the greatest of all zamonian literature. So what should Optimus do with it?
Should he
A) Follow his god fathers advice and go looking for the author in Bookholm (the city of dreaming books)
B) Keep This master peace for his eyes only
C) Sell the manuscript for all the money he can get
Well, A. seems like the best choice if you looking for an exciting adventure novel. BUT WAIT!
What if Optimus where to keep this manuscript to himself read it everyday like a drug. Cry the deepest he'll ever cry every day. Laugh the hardest he'll ever laugh every night! What harm could it do?
In real life, drugs addicts minds are sometimes destroyed. They risk O.D.ing and dying. Destroying they're lives. Losing they're family, job, friends, and sometimes sanity. Killing countless nerve and brain cells every time they take a hit. But reading?
Could reading go to far? The piece of literature Optimus reads makes him feel like he should never write again. How could his writing ever even come close to this master piece? So what?! Reading still would harm anything but his literary career.
What It went to far? Him being a lindworm, killing his literary career would almost be like killing his life. And lindworms DO take it that seriously. Now that I think of it, Optimus, after reading the sad bit of the manuscript might take his own life caught up in his emotions. Who would stop him? his godfather is dead.
BUT WAAAIITTT!!! Optimus doesn't have to go on a life changing adventure or get high on writing! He can do the most human thing and sell it for every penny it's worth!!! If it really is that good, then some fancy lindworm in a fancy lindwormian suit would love to snap it up and republish it in every Zamonian language there is! It's the best get rich quick plan ever! With all that money, who needs adventure and drugs when you can buy all the adventure and drugs to your hearts content!
You'd have to be pretty unintelligent to pass up this chance for a life threatening adventure.

all that evey went through. *spoilers*
After all that Evey went through, How does she not hate v? He tortured her and practically destroyed her! I don't understand why what kind of transformation Evey went through. Maybe i missed something. I don't think I could ever thank a person who hurt me like that. So how can evey?
I Think V needs to chill. He's killing the bad government and everything but is he doing more? Are there any people that disagree with what he's doing? Maybe i just don't agree super heros using giant explosives, that terrorism. Is v trying to make people afraid? I'd be pretty afraid if someone was blowing up buildings in my neighborhood. Wouldn't you?
If I where V I would Scrawl my message in giant letters across government buildings. Seems much more peaceful. Why cant V do that? He'd frighten a lot less people. Maybe Explosions could just be a last resort.
From what i've read this country has had enough. They've already just had a holocaust i don't think they need more excitement.

Why stop now? Theres so much money to be made!
In third world countries like the Middle East and Asia, there’s one more thing we’re dumping on their land, Toxic Computer Waste.
When your old computer breaks down, what do you do? Throw out your old one. Well what if you knew that soon, people living in poverty would be picking at your hazardous waste in some other country for $1.50 a day? What would you do then?
I think that this article is a perfect example of humanity is making it’s future so much worse, and how most problems come down to the big commercial businesses. In this article, those businesses are the computer companies. And boy are they greedy!
I don’t even have to tell you how greedy apple is. Just count how many apple advertisements, apple stores, and apple computers you see walking through the city.
So I would like to blame the computer industry for what’s happening, and how greedy they are. I think that much lease of this toxic waste and computer junk would be thrown out if these companies weren’t so greedy!
First apple keeps coming out with so many new gadgets, gizmos, and computers, that people feel the need to have the newest model, thus throwing out their old ones. This is also the fault of the consumers who must have it. Not just the companies. And most of the time the biggest change is computer chip. A computer chip that only fits the new model. So instead of just replacing the chip, place have to replace the whole computer. Trash, to foreign dump.
Companies need businesses to flow. It’s the american way. If businesses keep producing, than stores can keep buying, people can keep consuming and eventually throwing out. That’s how our country roles. The faster stuff is trashed the more money people can make. This is our nation. A nation of filthy greed. We think the only way we can survive is to make a giant profit to spend on things like war and more advertising. If the companies that practically run our nation made things that lasted, people wouldn’t throw the products out and get new ones. So faster and faster the process goes. And faster and faster, more is thrown out. Back to the dumps, landfills, and incinerators. Why? Because doing our dying planet a little favor by recycling is just slow if we wan’t to keep the big bucks rollin in. So we continue to banish the health of our planet and it’s people for money. But who knows? Maybe in another billion years a new species will evolve and find our bottle caps, and soda can rings and say, “what a silly race they must have been”. But for now, we’ll just keep on spending, killing, and polluting.

Big Bully, small bully
Does size make up a big part in bullying?
I think that some kids use their size to their advantage to threaten or hurt other kids.
Just, in my book, the "tuff kid" Is shorter than the two boys that are afraid of him. Why?
Is it cause he's stronger? Would people be intimidated by me? I'm short and strong.
Doesn't matter what size you are if you're cyber bullying though.
This post was kinda short, but so am I, so don't hate.

are friends a distraction
Are friends a distraction?
Do we really need them?
YES! I hate the people that are always like "I'm not here to make friends".
In my book "Its kind of a funny story", the main character is told he's not at the hospital to make friends, he's only there to heal his depression.
Yeah! Sure it's a bad idea to makes friends, When your in the hunger games and your going to have back stab them eventually! But to me, friends sounds like best thing for a depressed kid! Maybe not anybody like aaron, friends like the people he's meeting at the hospital. Friends like humble. Probably even a girlfriend.
I would have never made it through School without friends. I don't know who could. Skaters have to have friends to skate with and to learn from. So does Craig.
You always need a friend, to chill with to learn from, and to share life with. You also need a friend to help you in hard times. What do you think the whole song "lean on me" is about?! A friends to lean on help you.
That's what I think friends are all about. They're for you to help, and help you. When My friends make me laugh, they're making me happy. They are helping me. Friends help in little ways and big ways. And I think you need both. Friend that help in big ways, help you with something hard. Friends the help in little ways help by making life a little easier or funner. Sometimes They make you happy just being around them you love them so much.
Friends are everywhere. And this is why shy people shouldn't be shy! If you think no one wants to be your friend then you are terribly mistaken. All you have to do is talk to some one! Really! Friends will help you your entire life, so start making some!
I think that these friends are what's going to heal craig and his depression.
But what happens when he has to leave the hospital? When he has to leave all his friends? Will Craig survive? I hope so.

blog post #2?...
ok I just finished "The Maze Runner", a very thought provoking story. In the book a group of boys are faced with a test. Like lab rats, they are placed in a maze. First of all what kind of weirdoes would do that?! Maybe they did it "in the name of science!", but I think they're psychoes that thrive on the pain of children. That or they're just psycho scientists who want to test the human limits. That seems to be a popular theme, when will some one crack. You know, the point where a person has had it to their limit. In this case, the boys were tested on how much will they had to survive in a situation that seemed hopeless. Every day Runners would go out and search this maze only to never find an exit for two years. How far could you go?
Today 33 Chilean miners were pulled out of the ground to the safety of the world above. The had been trapped for 2 months in a small stone chamber a mile and a half below the surface (*gasp!*). I'm suprised that not one came out insane. I'm sure if I had been stuck in a tiny dark room for two months with thirty three other guys, I would have gone mad! In my book, these survivors never lost hope, and the miners also never lost hope. So when do you? Whats the limit. I'd like to know, but I'm not going to put a bunch of innocent boys in a hopeless maze.
I think that Thomas was a bit to toward being a runner. I didn't like how in every chapter he'd bring up that he HADE to be a runner.
NEW THING
Why do all teenage books have to be depressing! *spoiler alert* Chuck had to be brutally killed cause it creates a bunch of conflict, but I've got enough conflict in my life! Do I have to read Alice in wonderland to escape this murderous mentality of children and teenage authors?! I couldn't even escape this curse by reading my childhood favorite (freak the mighty) Childhood favorite! Listen, if your writing a book, I will read it, even if it doesn't have someone special tragically dying!
I know why authors are writing heartbreaking stories like this! Cause it's what the kids want to hear! What is wrong with my generation? What's with this sudden craze of death?! I don't like it! Can't we all just be friends with our books without my brain being scarred by these ultra morbid books?!

Maxs 1st post ... du
Book: The Maze Runner - forget who its by.
Is sanity important? In my book, the main character says that if he has to be a gardener every he'd go insane. He'd much rather be a runner. Charging through the giant maze risking his life even more every second he spends inside of it. So is it worth it?! Is staying sane worth risking your life? Is sanity that important. Thomas is in an isolated courtyard with no beings other than 30 mangy boys, so what does it matter? Whose going to care?
Is that bad? Lots of our favorite fictional characters are mad. The Hatter, The Cheshire Cat, The Joker.
Would anyone want to be mad? I don't think so. Would anyone risk their life not to be mad? Thats what Thomas is doing.
Maybe it's best not to be mad in a society thats revolves around order. Yeah, now being mad sounds like a terrible idea. I'd say ben was pretty crazy and then he got banished. Sooooo...that can't be very good.
How insane would gardening drive thomas? What the grievers would do to him is worse than death. I dont like what thomas is thinking/doing. Everything is just "my life sucks, but it's ok cause im gonna be a runnner and thats my destiny!" Sounds kinda ... cheesy. He's hitting the same note over and over again and I dont like that.
Hitting the same note isn't very good if your trying to create drama. Doesn't the author know that? Cause I'm getting a bit tired of it. Seriously, watch thomas try to be runner and get eaten on the first day.
